HANON x Penfield Kasson x Halley Stevensons “Dark Forest”

You might have caught it on the sly, but a couple of weeks ago, HANON dropped their second Penfield Kasson collaboration, following on from the Kasson that they worked on back in 2013.

I’ve actually been wearing a sample version of this jacket for the best part of the year, and has been my absolute go-to, and has handled everything that the Scottish weather has thrown at it, with the help of the Halley Stevensons waxed cotton which it is made out of.

Aberdeen Railway

For our HANON x Diadora V7000 “Inter City” collaboration the other month, and with it being inspired by rail travel, I dragged Emma out one night to explore the dark and dingey tunnels and car parks around Aberdeen’s train station.

I must admit, I never used to spend much time in the city centre, and I wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of it in all it’s greyness, but after working in the city centre for the last 10 months or so, I’ve become extremely fond of the city and all grey it has to offer!

HANON x Diadora IC4000 “Yellow Eyes”

hanon and Diadora are proud to present a brand new collaboration to celebrate the upcoming Olympic Games this summer.

To mark the forthcoming global event, Diadora take inspiration from the 1988 Olympics in Seoul with the release of From Seoul To Rio – an exclusive capsule collection that will see some of the world’s top sneaker doors collaborate on an exclusive line of apparel and footwear.

The IC.4000 and Intrepid are iconic running shoes from Diadora’s back catalogue and at one time designed for athletes competing at the Seoul Olympics in 1988. Both shoes will be exclusively reissued alongside a premium track top, t-shirt and sports bag, and reworked by a select group of partners from Europe and the US.

Aberdeen Beach

Before you read any further, this post mainly came to be because of Pokemon… but that’s definitely not a bad thing!

Aberdeen beach is an absolute hot spot for Pokemon apparently, and loads of people can be found at the park at Fittie camped out playing the game until the early hours of the morning, but I didn’t believe it was actually a thing, so we went down for a wander to investigate.

There’s no pictures of said people playing Pokemon unfortunately, but we were treated to some lovely colours in the sky, so I snapped that while Emma tried to catch a Pidgey or something.

Tunnels

If you’re from Aberdeen then you know of Tunnels – a live music venue which coincidentally enough is in a tunnel which goes underneath Union Street. It’s not exactly the nicest of places, but it’s the route I walk every day when I go from where I park my car to our office, so I’ve gotten a little used to it.

Aberdeen City Centre

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple of weeks, you might have heard something about Pokemon being quite a big deal, well, there’s not many of those ol’ Poke Stops where we live and Emma ran out of Poke Balls, so I guess this was an opportunity to grab some shots of the city in the evening, and maybe catch something other than a f*cking Pidgey!

Diamond Bridge

Shortly after the Diamond Bridge opening, otherwise known as the long awaited Third Don Crossing, we took a quick trip past to check it out, but the other night, myself and Emma braved life ruining hayfever, and went a wander through some of the surrounding areas, like the woods in between Campus 2 and 3 of the Balgownie Science & Technology Campus, and the Grandholm footbridge, which is currently closed unfortunately.
