This post is pretty much two months late, but I really hate having loose ends, so better late than never, right?
Crepe City 14 was to be my 7th Crepe City event in a row, and I think that’s pretty good going if I’m honest, but the CC team work tirelessly to put on an amazing event each and every time, and I’m happy to call those guys my friends. Always happy to support them when possible!
The 14th instalment of Crepe City was held at Truman Brewery just off Brick Lane in East London on the 31st of October. Halloween celebrations were put on the back-burner as thousands flocked to try and grab a grail or pick up a bargain.
Sold out tickets huge queues, world renowned stores, art exhibits, clothing brands, and big name vendors are just some of the things you can come to expect when you attend a Crepe City event, and this one was no different, however, the Crepe City team themselves had some things up their sleeves.
The Crepe City team used this event to launch their first branded apparel and merchandise collection, which also tied in with their first issue of the Crepe City Magazine, as well as a continued collaboration with the Basement. As you can imagine, the apparel and merchandise flew out, so count yourself lucky if you managed to grab any of it!
There was a Back to the Future style collaboration between Ropes Laces and Crepe City available to buy on the day, and all the stops were pulled out and there was a DeLorean parked outside all day, which you could grab a picture with.
Stepping away from the BTTF vibe, and revisiting the whole Halloween thing, event regulars Jason Markk were present with their very own exclusive event only Halloween themed sneaker cleaning kits, which went down a treat (pardon the pun…), as well as their sneaker cleaning service.
Other big names such as Main Source, Prime, Akio, Schuh and Soleheaven, as well as numerous private sellers were all on hand throughout the day providing you with the largest amount and widest variety of kicks to be found at any sneaker event across the UK.
It didn’t just end there though, as clothing, accessories, and art was all covered too with people like Stance Socks, Sneaker Science, Crease Coach, Rhys Designs, Pins Artist, and Minted.
After a busy day sneaker hunting, you could grab a drink and a bite to eat from the likes of Snow Ballz, koko, Bun Kabab, and Miss P’s Barbecue, and if you had some spare time in between all that and wanted to sharpen up your appearance, then the good folks over at Luke’s Barbershop were on hand to keep you groomed and trimmed.
UK heavyweights the Basement had an area which as you can imagine, was absolutely rammed throughout the day, but those guys are killing it, so big shout to them.
As always, hats off to everyone who played a part in organising the event and making the day as stress free as possible, as well as all the vendors who attended and all the punters who passed through on the day.
