Puma x hanon “Adventurer Pack”

The latest footwear collaboration by hanon shop of Aberdeen comes in the form of a double pack with Puma, which features an XT2+ and an XS850, and has been named the “Adventurer Pack”.

The “Adventurer Pack” references Ed and Brian Toft of hanon shop’s early beginnings in the 90’s, when they would travel overseas to hunt out rare and vintage sneakers to sell through the store.

For this project, they have reworked two of Puma’s classic running shoes, and they have stripped back both styles removing any TPU components, and have applied an upper of premium materials, with both pairs inspired by their early days of travelling.

Firstly, let’s take a look at the XS850, which references their skate beginnings and features a rich nubuck upper offset by a ‘Flame n’ Bones’ multi print on the collar lining and footbed.

The XS850 will also be pairs up with a ‘Flame n’ Bones’ dust bag which has the same multi print as the collar lining, and footbed.

Next up is the XT2+ from the “Adventurer Pack” and this is definitely one of the best XT2+’s ever. It is inspired by the early days travelling overseas, leaving the winter gloom in Scotland behind for the sunshine warmth of California.

It is executed in a lush pig suede application, and the colours reference the stark contrast in weather whilst a ‘memories’ print is featured on the lining.
