Diamond Bridge

Shortly after the Diamond Bridge opening, otherwise known as the long awaited Third Don Crossing, we took a quick trip past to check it out, but the other night, myself and Emma braved life ruining hayfever, and went a wander through some of the surrounding areas, like the woods in between Campus 2 and 3 of the Balgownie Science & Technology Campus, and the Grandholm footbridge, which is currently closed unfortunately.

Third Don Crossing

This post is as close to home as it gets, and will mean absolutely nothing to anyone outside of Aberdeen, and although it’s probably 20 years too late, the Third Don Crossing is finally open, so we went to check it out.

There’s not much to say about it to be honest, there’s still quite a bit of development to go, but the main bridge is open, so at least that’s something.

Brig o’ Balgownie

The Brig o’ Balgownie is a 13th century bridge which spans over the River Don in Old Aberdeen, and is one of my favourite places in the whole of Aberdeen City.

Although there’s only one shot of the bridge in this post, and it’s not even of the most recognisable arch, there’s a few different areas you can walk on either side of the bridge, or you can just hang about and enjoy the peacefulness and look out for some seals!

Aberdeen Roaming

On Friday afternoon, myself and Jordan (@jordanmb1994) went out and explored a couple of spots in Aberdeen; the first was Fittie, a small area of houses located at the harbour, and the second was the Brig o’ Balgownie, another small area of houses but this time located on the River Don.
