First of all, a very Happy New Year to all who read my blog! I hope 2015 was a great year for you all, and I wish you and your families all the best for 2016!
Secondly, I haven’t had much of a chance to post regularly on my blog over the last couple of months, mainly due to the amount I’ve been working, but I wanted to do a post where I rounded up all of the highlights in 2015 for myself.

This summer size? have joined forces with New Balance to launch a new exclusive version of the MD1500 Deconstructed.
The 1500 itself is iconic, and a New Balance staple piece, and firmly set as a favourite amongst New Balance aficionados, so you can imagine that when the news dropped that New Balance would be reengineering this model, a lot of people were a little hesitant. The MD1500 Deconstructed is one of the reengineered models of the 1500, and it strips the silhouette down to its purest essence, featuring clean lines, premium materials and a lightweight REVlite midsole.
We’d already seen a couple iterations of the MD1500 via New Balance a couple of weeks earlier, however, all three of those pairs came dressed in a suede upper, rather than the full-grain leather we see here.
The upper of both the MD1500DO (black) and MD1500DW (white) feature perforated full-grain leather with oval shaped perforations across the toe, tongue and overlay. Rather than the 1500’s usual Encap midsole, these pairs feature a REVlite midsole, which reduces the overall weight of the shoe, and also makes it a lot more comfier. Both REVlite midsoles are white in colour, complimenting both the black and white uppers, and finished off with everyone’s favourite gum outsole.
Both of these pairs will be releasing online on Friday 31st of July at 8:00am BST via direct links on size? Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as in size? stores from their respective opening times, so keep a note of these details if you are looking to grab a pair. They will each be priced at a very reasonable £100 and will be available in UK sizes 7–11 (including half sizes).
I’ve been really excited about a lot of the New Balance ‘Reengineered’ pairs to come out of New Balance Japan, and I finally managed to get my hands on a pair thanks to Soleheaven.
It seems like New Balance have found their preferred model for messing around with and creating stunning new uppers in the form of the 996, a shoe that was released in 1989 and hailed for superior support and cushioning. This particular part of the ‘Reengineered’ series comes in the form of three colourways of New Balance 996, and has been dubbed ‘Deconstructed’ due to it’s minimalist complexion.
The ‘Deconstructed’ pairs come in three colours for now; sage, beige, and brown, with the beige pair being featured in this post. The MRL996DB features a beige, nubuck and suede upper, with perforated detailing along the toe box, upper and inside the large ‘N’ logo. The shoe come with a set of tonal beige leather laces and a contrast brown leather brown brand tab, completing the minimalistic style upper by adding a touch of class. The 996 remains extremely comfy and supportive with a white REVlite midsole and heel counter.
